August 20th Ontario Hickory Tour event at Niagara GC
Eleven hickory hackers played a modified alternate shot tournament, with each two man team playeing a match against every other team.
The weather was pleasant, and the scores were impressive. Matches were close in most cases.
We had two new players join us for this event -- Chris Stanley and Ruth Magee.

OHT -- Third Event 2010
The Ontario Hickory Tour staged the third event of this year at Niagara GC
in Niagara-on-the-Lake on July 30th.
Eleven avid hickory players played the Niagara GC course under sunny skies.
Each golfer played a match against each of the other participants.
Nine holes of pre-1900 play, using a limited flight gutty
and nine holes of post-1900 play, using a bramble replica were played.
We welcomed a new player, Jeff Pineo, a curious "newbie" who can really play!

May 20. 2010 -- Ariss Valley (Guelph)
The first event of The Ontario Hickory Tour was played on Thursday, May 20,
at Ariss Valley Golf Course, just north of Guelph.
The weather was fabulous, and the competition was stiff!
We enjoyed the site, and the hospitality of the club's owner, Jim Maraschiello.
The "regular crew" of hickory golfers was present,
as were several "newbies" -- first time Ontario Hickory
Tour players -- Layne Magee, Bob West, Ron Dunn,
Mike Hart, Jim Parker, Paul Sorley and david Burgess.
In all, we had twenty players -- the largest attendance
in the Tour's four year history.
Each golfer present played against every other player in the field,
in a match play format.
